What is Private IP?
Private IP is a network that runs seperate to the internet. This is often used to link multiple locations (WAN), creating a "private network" for offices to share information and services.
Because the data never travels over the internet (where the data packet may take an unreliable path) the data can be controlled, prioritised and monitored allowing greater flexibility and overall management capability.
Enterprise IP's network uses MPLS standards delivering the following key benefits:
Quality of Service
QoS is the ability to prioritise different types of traffic over the Private IP WAN. Examples would be the prioritisation of printing traffic over internet traffic between sites.
Network Availability
The Private IP core network is engineered and optimised to achieve overall availability of 99.9% (excluding scheduled/planned service windows)
Access to data center
Enterprise IP provides fully secured, redundant co-location for equipment on the Private IP WAN. The Internet Data Center has 24 hour air conditioning, multiple-carrier high speed data links, secure swipe card access and fire-proofing. This facility is ideal for customers wishing to host firewalls or servers on their Private IP WAN.
Fully Managed Services
Because the Private IP services are fully managed, our network engineers are able to provide you with greater insight into the functioning of the WAN. Our certified support team is also ready to assist you 24x7 with change requests or troubleshooting.
